Namun ketika saya cek keberadaan paket nodejs di repositori Ubuntu, ternyata tidak ada.
Jangan khawatir, Anda bisa menginstal Nodejs secara manual. Akan lebih baik jika proses instalasi Nodejs dilakukan pada awal setup VPS, bukan pada saat proyek berjalan normal.
Berikut ini cara menginstal NodeJS di Server Ubuntu menggunakan panduan langkah demi langkah.
- Masuk ke server Anda menggunakan SSH
- Perbarui sistem Ubuntu dengan perintah
apt update -y && apt upgrade -y - Sekarang
cdDi mana Anda ingin menginstal nodejs, di sini saya memilih/home/ - Buat folder disini, lalu beri nama sesuka anda, disini saya menggunakan nama nodejs
mkdir nodejs - Buka situs nodejs, lalu buka Unduhan. Setelah itu pilih paket Biner bawaan
- Copy link paket download nodejs, lalu gunakan wget untuk mendownload file ke server. Cara menempelkan perintah ke terminal
wget link-nodejs–wget https://nodejs.org/dist/v20.15.0/node-v20.15.0-linux-x64.tar.xz - Jika sudah selesai download, ekstrak file tar.xz pada folder yang sama,
tar -xvf node-xxxxx - Sekarang masuk ke folder nodejs yang Anda download, lalu masuk ke folder bin. Sekarang di folder ini kita memiliki file biner dari nodejs yang siap dieksekusi.
- Salin jalur folder
**/bin**Dalam variabel lingkungan Ubuntu. Untuk melakukan ini, ketikkan perintahpwdKemudian copy alamat folder nodejs, misal nodejs sekarang sudah bisa diakses/home/nodejs/node-xxxx/bin. - Buka/edit file variabel lingkungan
sudo nano /etc/environmentKemudian paste di awal baris, lalu tambahkan titik dua (:) sebagai pemisah antar jalur lingkungan lainnya. Misalnya, satu baris saja terlihat seperti ini:PATH="/home/nodejs/node-xxxx/bin:/usr/local/sbin:/usr/local/bin" - Setelah itu simpan dan restart server.
- Sekarang server Ubuntu Anda siap menjalankan NodeJS.
